so, trying to change something using a child theme resulted in this lovely little error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/sorvon/arthuriansmutcycle.com/wp-content/themes/child-theme/functions.php on line 18

all i did was try to create a child theme (via a plug in i have installed? maybe? i recently installed a child theme plug in and “child theme” was a new option under “appearance” and i tried to make something there to use to edit and this happened)

i know i’m supposed to be fixing this somehow via FTP but nothing i’ve found tells me what i’m changing or where or why. (i have figured out how to access the index of my site via my host but that’s all i’ve figured out)

it also seems like i can only look at the contents of folders and not change anything, so i have no idea how i’m supposed to delete or alter anything
