Choose diff upload directory for different files?

Hello,

Are there any plugins that would allow me to manually select different upload directories for certain files?

Or any way to code this into a plugin?

Our blog hosts some of our projects linked to on non-blog pages, so I’d like to keep those files and images in one directory, while keeping files I upload for blog posts in the usual month- and year-sorted directories.
