    Hi,
During the installation wizzard I can choose between php.ini or php5.ini.
But I have a hosted webspace with php7. It would be nice, if you provide this too or or leave a blank field for the certain ini-file-name.

Ok, the firewall works fine with the alternative solution at the next step.
Are there any differences in the using or performance bewteen those two ways of activating the firewall?

I am looking forward to install the Ninja Firewall on further websites hosted at the same provider. What is the best practice?

    best regards
    Jürgen

    Hi,

Which PHP INI your host is using? .user.ini is the default one since PHP 5.3. Some host will use php.ini. Both are available in PHP 7. Very few hosts will use php5.ini.
I have never seen any other type of INI files, unless you reconfigured the PHP user_ini.filename directive.
If you want to use another INI file, during the setup process select php.ini and in the next screen select “I want to make the changes myself”. Then, create your INI file and add the NinjaFirewall’s PHP directive to it.

“Full WAF” or “WordPress WAF” provide almost the same performance. “WordPress WAF will be slightly slower but you should never notice any difference (it will still be faster than other security plugins).
The biggest difference is that “Full WAF” offers a better protection and is the recommended way to run NinjaFirewall.

If you want to install it on other websites, you have to go through the same setup process. Afterward, you can export your configuration from an old site and import it to the newly installed site, so that you don’t have to reconfigure all firewall options and policies each time (see “NinjaFirewall > Firewall Options > Export configuration/Import Configuration).
