Because actually if you see that this plug in only does the browser site compression and does not do the compression for already uploaded media files so the website which already have a lot of media cannot get any benefit out of it at only the new uploads will be the ones which are going to be compressed. So naturally it is more useful if the plugin should include the integrations for uploads using forms. As for running websites most of the data is uploaded from the regular users. And to limit the upload size and ask the user to compressed himself before uploading like it usually happens on different websites with gives the maximum upload size never looks very use your friendly. So having a Milton option of browser compression like it happens in WhatsApp upload whenever I user uploads a media file or image WhatsApp aggressively compressive it which makes the size is smaller and the upload time very fast like magic
Great suggestion! Good point also about mobile users, most of the time you won’t have control or it’s not obvious that you’re uploading a huge image or video.
Adding this to our todo list. I’m resolving this thread as well 🙂

Thanks for the quick response and for adding this to your to-do list — really appreciate it.
May I ask if you have any tentative ETA or rough timeline in mind for when this feature might be explored? Also, I’m curious to know whether this integration is on your near-term priority list, or if it would likely be considered after other major items in your queue.
If it can be implemented soon, it would be incredibly helpful for many sites — especially those relying heavily on user-generated uploads.
Hello,
I’d like to join the discussion as I have the exact same need with WPForms.
My goal is to have images automatically compressed in the browser before upload, to prevent large files from being sent to the server.
Currently, users are submitting uncompressed photos through WPForms.
Can CIMO work with WPForms file upload fields on the front end so that compression happens before the file is sent?
If yes, is there any specific configuration required?
If not yet compatible, is this planned on the roadmap?
Thank you in advance for your clarification.
