When a public user access a page containing a directory using the Circle Theme and pointing to a Private Directory using the allow_public_override=’TRUE’ shorte-code, the list of contacts shows the “View Profile” link even though the user is not allowed to view the profile. Clicking on the link results in a page not found 404 error. The View Profile links work fine for logged in users. In that case I would expect the behavior of the link to disappear (like the email icon) for members of the public.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Trying to better understand the configuration so I can replicate…

    • You have the directory setup to require login to view, correct?
    • But are using the allow_public_override='true' shortcode option to display the directory, publicly. Correct?

Sorry, I replied to the email, not here… The problem still occurs.

You are right, this is how we are setup.

The intention is to have only the listing with summary accessible to public and detail information accessible by members only.

If you want to I can give you access to the staging site.
