CJD Notepad Error

    I love CJD Notepad, but suddenly it’s not working for me on either my current blog, or on a completely fresh 2.3.1 install. The codex says it’s compatible, but I’m having an issue.

    It will load the Write -> Note page and the Manage -> Notes page, but when I attempt to add a new note or edit an existing note I get:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare notepad_menu() (previously declared in /home/goodgrie/public_html/deep/wp-content/plugins/notepad/cjd_notepad.php:36) in /home/goodgrie/public_html/deep/wp-content/plugins/notepad/cjd_notepad.php on line 35

    I have turned off all plugins to ensure it’s not conflicting with anything else, but I still get same result.

    I noticed several comments left on the plugin author’s plugin page (http://chrisjdavis.org/cjd-notepad/) who have experienced the same problem. Unfortunately, the author has moved off WordPress and is no longer supporting the plugin.

    Does anyone have suggestions?
