Clarify Details On Automatic wordpress update

    The WordPress update shows this message

    “You have the latest version of WordPress. Future security updates will be applied automatically.”

    Does the above statement mean that the WordPress will automatically update to WordPress 5.0 when it releases?

    And does the automatic update applies for plugin and theme updates?

    As i still manually update plugin from dashboard after getting the update notification
