• Went into existing website to perform some updates and found Classic Editor plugin is no longer working. Theme is Zetta. Now I have a lot of code that is difficult to decipher in Gutenberg. I do not want to use Gutenberg. How do I get Classic Editor to play well with this theme? I don’t know if it was the WordPress update or something else. This is a larger website. Please help!

  • Hi, tina-marker, I’m another Classic Editor user.

Please try using the “Health Check” plugin to diagnose the issue: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/.

In the troubleshooting tab, you can disable all plugins and have the theme changed while logged in; visitors will see the website as if the plugin(s) and/or theme wasn’t changed.

In this case, please try deactivating plugins (besides the Classic Editor plugin) to determine if plugin(s) is/are causing your issue.

If you have access to older versions of the theme, you can also progressively attempt to determine which theme version may have possibly broken the integration with the Classic Editor by uploading a particular version of the theme.
