Hello, @parhamm
Could you tell us your CleanTalk plugin version, WordPress version, PHP version and the name of that file?
Security by CleanTalk Version 2.72.2
Anti-Spam by CleanTalk Version 5.161
WP Version: 5.8
PHP: 7.4.23
WP Optimize specifies this table name: wp_spbc_firewall_data
There are also numerous other tables that take up memory. One other very large one is :
Records Data Size Index Size
wp_spbc_scan_results 25,551 10.02 MB 2.02 MB
There are many more smaller ones too. Let me know if you want me to specif those as well.
Thank you for your feedback.
I’ve passed your details to the programmer staff.
We will write back to you within 2-3 business days. Please, wait.
Hello @parhamm
First of all, big tables don’t slows down your website by itself.
Too often requests to the such table – that is the problem.
You don’t need to worry about wp_spbc_scan_results because this table is not so often in use. Once in a day for about 10 minutes (during the background scan if enabled).
Big wp_spbc_firewall_data could a problem. It’s already optimized in all possible ways. I’m not allowed to consult you about this here because of WordPress forums support rules. I could only say that you can reduce it by excluding a few countries ( in your case few tens ) from the personal lists in CleanTlak dashboard.
If you want to get more specific support about it, please, proceed here: https://cleantalk.org/my/support/open and open the ticket in our support system. Don’t forget to attach the link to this conversation.

Thanks for the reply and looking into this Safronik.
What compelled my investigation into this is that many web and optimization plugin developers recommend that website start to slow down when database record size gets too big / bloated. In this instance with the cleantalk plugin, I noticed that a significant number of records were due to Cleantalk plugins, so I surmised that I need to find a way to reduce these data table sizes to reduce bloating and hence help with website loading time. I will certainly look at the country exclusion list as you have suggested. I might even open a ticket to carry on with this conversation. Thanks.
Thank you @parhamm for your feedback.
I’ll pass your reply to our developers.
If you have additional questions open a ticket as suggested.
