• Nothing happens.

Yes, unfortunately. My problem is that with wordpress integration, I can create a form on MailChimp’s website and then go to embed it into the site and when the Submit button is clicked, nothing happens. No browser loading, no message, nothing.

This can be seen in action at the following address:

The same can not be said for the widget plugin, however. That one works like a little champ. But, the issue there is that the design that the widget puts out doesn’t look very good. If there were a way to have the Widget design match the embedded design, that would be pretty nice. But, at current, the widget isn’t exactly usable either.

If there were any sort of suggestion as to why the embedded code’s submit button doesn’t do anything that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

  • Hey Dylan,

Thanks for posting. In taking a look at the URL provided, I can see the described interaction on the form in the body, but the form in the sidebar appears to be working in the sense that it’s opening the confirmation thank you page upon submission. Can you clarify whether you’re looking to add a working form to just the body, sidebar, or both?

It’s worth noting that our support regarding integrating the embed code is extremely limited (as this forum’s intended for questions specific to integrating the wp plugin), but I’d be happy to take a look and help get you pointed in the right direction.

Ultimately if the plugin provides the desired functionality then there are options to style the plugin’s form by adding your own CSS code to adjust the elements. If you’re interested in this, feel free to reply with specifics of the plugin form that you’re looking to edit and I’d be more than happy to provide some help in narrowing down how to target those elements and adapt a closer look to the embed code.

    Look forward to hearing back!
