Hey @sustainhealth! We have plans to include a specific field for links. Meanwhile, it’s possible to activate the HTML rendering globally. You can find this function in Settings > FSM Custom Featured Image Caption.
When this option is activated, you can write HTML in the captions like in this example.
I hope this workaround will be useful to you until the specific functionality is ready.

I’m having the same problem. I did what you wrote to do – or at least I think I did – but I still can’t insert a hyperlink in the caption.
I settings I marked “Allow HTML code rendering in the caption” and in the caption I inserted a HTML code: Flickr and it doesn’t work.
Is there any other way to make the link clickable?
