Hi,
1. Make sure that your Calendar page is set to the right page in the settings.
2. No need to use shortcode on a page set as the default in the plugin settings.
3. Try turning on/off “Strict compatibility content filtering” in Events -> Settings –> Viewing Events.
4. Try turning on/off “Use frontend rendering” in Events -> Settings –> Advanced
Thank you for responding quickly.
1. I double checked making sure the calendar page is set right, it is. It is reallifeministries.com/calendar
2. No shortcode used on the this page.
3. I tried turning “Strict Compatibility” on/off
4. I tried turning “Use Frontend Rendering” on/off
Still the same error.
After I click on the month to advance the calendar, besides the error code, I get this in the URL:reallifeministries.com/calendar/action~month/exact_date~1451635200/request_format~html/
Not sure if that is helpful or not.
I even tried what was suggested on this page – https://time.ly/forums/topic/syntaxerror-unexpected-token/
I have tried disabling all the plugins and changing the theme. Still the same error and issue.
Any other advice for this issue?
I have tried updating the plugin to Version 2.3.6. Still the same error.
I’m having the same problem when I try to change to the next (or previous) month… and I updated the plugin as well
Something went wrong while fetching events.
The request status is: 200
The error thrown was: SyntaxError: expected expression, got ‘<‘
i also noted that the “next month” name on the calendar is January…

any suggestions?
is there any update / solution for this issue?
thanks!
It seems that every Monday in January, the ‘next month’ is January. I have seen this problem on January 11 and January 18. On the Tuesday, the ‘next month’ is February as it should.
It’s not just a date issue or month. Anything on click on from trying to go to the next month or previous month, as well as, Categories and tags that I click on give me the same error.
I get the same error even when I strip the plugins to only Timely and change the theme to default for WordPress. I have narrowed it down to the plugin.
How is it possible not to hear from the developer . . . at least that they work on the issue? (see all previous entries on this thread)
1. When trying to go to next page the following error message come up:
Something went wrong while fetching events.
The request status is: 200
The error thrown was: SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data
2. The same error appears when searching for a tag.

So what must one do, in order to get the issue resolved?
It seems like I am not the only one who has the issue . . . can someone from the authors of the plugin respond?
Will there be ANY response from any developer about he syntax error ????
Did anyone get a fix for this one?
