Whoops there was a problem with your request. Please go back and try a different way.

I am trying to import a table to “TablePress” plugin. I successfully imported another this morning but now it will not work. Tried manual import but that did not work either.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This message sounds like a message from the server, and not from WordPresss or TablePress. Can you maybe try to find out more by enabling error messages in WordPress, by setting the WP_DEBUG constant to true in the wp-config.php file of the site (see https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/article/editing-wp-config-php/#wp_debug ).

Also, can you please try other import formats, like using a CSV file instead of an Excel file?

    Regards,
    Tobias

I have already tried using .csv files and use it as default. I will set the WP-DEBUG and send any information I can find.

After doing some more investigation I found the filename had a ” ‘ ” character in it. Once it was removed the file was imported without error.
Sorry for the bother but appreciated your support.

    Hi,

nice find! Good to hear that it’s working now!

TablePress should not have problems with that character, but some server systems indeed might.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
