Hello,
The issue you’re encountering with the “Client ID is Required” message likely stems from enabling the PayPal payment method in BookingPress > Settings > Payments without fully configuring it.
To resolve this:
1. Go to BookingPress > Settings > Payments.
2. Check if PayPal is enabled.
3. If it is enabled but the Client ID (and possibly Client Secret) fields are left empty, that’s what’s triggering the error message.
4. To fix it, you can either:
– Enter valid PayPal credentials (Client ID and Client Secret), or
– Simply disable the PayPal option, clear any entered data, and save the settings.
Once done, that message should no longer appear. Also, if you haven’t updated the plugin to the latest version 1.1.32 yet, I would suggest doing so.
Please note that this forum is only intended for support related to the free/lite version of BookingPress. If you’re using the paid version, kindly reach out to us via our official support portal here: https://www.bookingpressplugin.com/manage-tickets/ so we can assist you further.
Let me know how it goes or if anything else comes up.
Thanks,
Dimple
Hi Dimple,
Thanks for your response. I updated the app to 1.1.32 from your website and checked again, with Paypal disabled and no entries in any of the paypal fields. The client ID message is still recurring and pops up everytime.
You may want to get this checked by your team. This is a decent plugin but I suspect a number of bugs still need to be resolved by the devs.
