Client user instructions for WP website

I have created a local website on my Mac and am about to show it off to a propective client.
Whilst I have learnt what it takes to take a Theme and turn it into a website I cannot find the answer re what to tell the client about raising posts to maintain the content of the site.It is not a blog it a an Auto Dealer website where posts are used to display cars for sale.
The client will need to add/amend/delete posts relating to his stock of cars.
Where do I start? Do I just raise new Users on the site and give them update priveledges. Should I expect to manage the site for them? What is the norm?
Any feedback would be most welcome.
