Close button has lost all styling
-
Hi!
This has looked fine for months and now the styling for just the Closed link has disappeared even though the setting haven’t changed in the admin.
Any quick fix?I LOVE this freakin’ plugin, BTW!
Thank you!

@laughhearty – Sorry for that, we added the ability to specify a height and width for the close button and assigned a default of 20px. It was only supposed to apply that value to new themes not existing ones. I have already patched it but you can edit your theme and set the height & width to 0/auto to resolve it.
That is assuming you mean that it is not positioned correctly via your link. Changing tose to 0/auto will put it back where you had it in the corder rather than hanging over.
Hope this helps.
It also removed the font family.
I have chosen to use the theme font and it appears to be using Times Roman.@laughhearty – Do you have a link? I haven’t seen that one but can get a patch out today if needed.
@laughhearty – Sorry realized you already posted one. Do you have site cache that needs to be cleared? I am still seeing the close button issue and height&width are still set to 20px so I’m not seeing the updated theme.
Same here. All button styling is gone for the close button, including the font (which is displayed like laughhearty’s font-some default font like Times). The button is hanging off the page, too. This has only been happening for the last few days.
Using X theme, btw.
@jim Carlton – Do you have a link? Have you set the popup themes close height & width to 0?
Hi @danileiser,
Sorry for the delay. I just changed height and width. Close link is within popup now, but still giving me the wrong font-family.Daniel: here’s a url for you: http://collegica.com/b/
I zeroed out the height/width, but the font is still defaulting to that Times-like font. Also, unlike laughhearty, I have a button background color set, which shows that the button dimensions are also a bit messed up. The “position” values (bottom, right) don’t seem to change anything on the actual page, although they affect the position on the button in the theme preview. Also, I’m not sure if this matters, but I didn’t create a new theme, I just changed the default theme.
Thanks in advance for your help, and thanks for a great plugin. π
Hello, same here, popup lost all styles and also background image
thanks wait 1 minute for pop up
Like Jim, I also used the default theme and didn’t create a new one.
@laughhearty, , @milkzore – Thanks for reporting, looking at the links now and will see what I can do.
@jim Carlton – Looks like your close button still has a height and width assigned of height: 14px; width: 50px;. Also what do you currently have the font family set to? Looks like it is a quote issue. Appears you likely have set it to use your themes, but it is using “inherit” when it should just be inherit without the quotes. Can patch that today.
Gonna patch later today with some tweaks to fix those quote & font issues.
@milkzore – Background images added via Advanced Theme Builder will require you to updated that extension. There should already be an update available. Once you have activated your license key it will show up in your dash like any other update or you can get it from the Account page on our site.
@laughhearty – I see the font issues and will be patching today.
Daniel: I inadvertently cloned the default theme and was making changes to that, so none of them applied. Once I started changing the correct theme, it got a lot easier! π
I think the only problems I was actually having were that the button was repositioned by your new coding (and therefore off by 20 px) and that the font wasn’t being inherited from my theme, which you are fixing now. As a workaround, I changed the font in the popup theme to the same font as my theme, so that’s not a problem for me anymore. All is well.
I do have a feature request, however: right now, if you have a popup set to have an overlay, the user can click on the overlay to close the popup. If you have the overlay disabled, however, clicking off the popup does nothing. Not a big deal, but it would be cool if clicking off the popup in this situation closed the popup, like it does in a Facebook photo gallery, for instance.
Thanks again for such a wonderful tool!
@laughhearty, , @milkzore, @jim Carlton – Ok guys, got this one figured out I think. Will be in the v1.3.3 patch later tonight.
