Cloudflare Sucks

I don’t often leave reviews unless I love or hate a product. I hate this product. I went through all the setup with cloudflare to optimize the distribution of my files over the internet and had nothing but complaints from users on two web sites that files couldn’t be served or pages 404’d.

I contacted cloudflare support and went round and round for a MONTH, accomplishing nothing while my site was floundering. They would send me to long documents to read that wasted my time and didn’t solve the issue. They’d point me to internet tools to look at nodes that were clearly not resolving requests, saying that it would take time to propagate files to those nodes. I would wait for a week with no change and no effort on their part to actually find the problem.

What they were essentially saying to me is if I add new assets or posts to my web site, they may or may not get distributed. And to top the whole thing off, my own wordpress backend would be inaccessible to me when trying to login because of “security” Error 1020 “Access Denied.” I don’t know what cloudflare is up to, but they certainly have no idea how to accommodate wordpress installations. And their support team is absolute rubbish. They’re rude and unhelpful, expecting that you have a CompSci degree to use their product. Don’t use it is my suggestion.
