You’re right, it appears they are not too quick with support…surprising that one of the authors is Automattic (makers of WordPress). I see you posted your question there, so hopefully they get back to you soon.
In the event they do not, you have a couple options…
1. Go to the Automattic website and use their contact form
2. Look for another plugin that does what this one does
I’m not familiar with this plugin, so I won’t be able to help out on this one…even from the plugin’s own forum location. Hopefully you do get support though because support is very important with any product.
There is a new plugin done by one of the original author. Its not free but its updated and works. Its called Byline https://bylines.io/
