Hi, i have problem on checkout page with total price not changing when pick payment method – cash on delivery (dobírka). I wanted to implement block chceckout because it´s much more better.
Do you know where is the issue? We need to implement classic checkout and this issue doesn´t allow us to use it.
It seems to me like the block of Payment methods doesnt sync/update the block of total price. It doesn´t update this block and when make order the price still doesnt change in the final order invoice. I have tried everyting. Update everything, disable plugins, try various themes, disable custom codes and in console I didn´t find any related error. I also tried to copy website on another domain and disable everything and nothing worked.
And the second one missing cash on delivery fee (+23). It´s classic checkout which I wanna implement on e-shop. But this feature is essential. https://kratzilla.cz/pokladna/
Please let me know as soon as possible whats the issue and solution. Thanks a lot!

Thank you for the detailed explanation. I just reviewed both checkout pages, and when selecting the pickup option, the additional cost was correctly added to the total. I wasn’t able to replicate the issue you’re experiencing. Below is a screenshot of https://kratzilla.cz/pokladna:
Can you share a screenshot of what you’re seeing on your end?
I have the exact same problem. I have two types of payment – bank transfer and cash on delivery. When I change the payment method, the cash on delivery price is not displayed and not added to the total price. However, once I change the shipping method and COD is selected as the payment method, the COD surcharge appears in the total. However, when I change only the payment methods the price is not updated.
The error only shows up in the new block checkout. In the old one everything works fine.

Sometimes somehow the COD price appears, I dont know how but it doesn´t work well and it´s not applicable in practice
I understand that the issue with COD price is intermittent. To investigate this issue further, please share your site’s System Status Report with me. You can paste it into https://pastebin.com and share the link here.
Once I have more information, I will be in a better position to assist you further.
I have reviewed the report you shared and noticed you have 40 active plugins and several are interacting with WooCommerce.
To troubleshoot further, could you tell me the steps to reproduce the error? I understand it does not happen all the time, so it would be helpful to know how many times it occurs. Knowing the frequency of the problem will help in diagnosis.
My goal is to determine the number of orders we need to create the problem. Then I want to repeat those steps while all plugins except WooCommerce are deactivated. This will pinpoint what is causing the problem.
I appreciate your patience and cooperation for this.
Hi, it happens every time. Like i wrote about the whole problem in the first massage. The COD fee never update the total price in block checkout but in classic checkout yes. I tried to copy website to another domain, deactivate all plugins and change theme and it still doesn´t work. As you can see here: http://test.microweb.cz/pokladna/. Some people wrote here that they have the same problem. I think it´s some bug in WooCommerce plugin. If you can send me some code to add somewhere or make some new update I would be very glad!
I am using shipping plugins for the Czech Republic, specifically PPL and Zásilkovna. These are the most commonly used delivery methods here, especially for drop box deliveries. The COD fee is set directly within these plugins, and it works correctly in the classic checkout. However, it does not function in the block-based checkout.
It seems that the issue you’re experiencing is likely due to a compatibility problem between the shipping plugins (PPL and Zásilkovna) and the WooCommerce block-based checkout. Please note that we only provide support for WooCommerce core functionality, and since the Cash on Delivery (COD) fee is managed directly through these third-party plugins, it’s possible that they are not fully compatible with the block checkout.
I would recommend reaching out to the support teams for these plugins to confirm whether they support the WooCommerce Checkout Block and, if not, whether they have plans to add compatibility.
Alternatively, if the plugins do not offer block checkout support, I can recommend WooExperts and Codeable.io as options for getting professional help. Alternatively, you can also ask your development questions in the WooCommerce Community Slack as custom code falls outside our usual scope of support.
