code in slider header title not working

    I change the font color of the slider images by doing something like: <font color=”black”>Please Contribute</font>
    It normally turns the font black and doesn’t show the code.
    With this new update it shows the code and the color is white.
    How do I change the slider title color from it’s default of white. My background is white (that’s what the customer asked for) and the text isn’t showing up.

    Hello aunthattie,

    We’re constantly updating our themes for bug fixes, security updates and other features as such slider outputs are now escaped correctly on output. They will not accept inline html.

    To change the slider color please use the following css by adding it to your site via either a child theme or directly from the theme options area under General Settings -> Custom CSS:

    #slider .featured-title span {
color: black !important;
}
