• Resolved wordpressdl

    We are using feed them social on our website landing page and during our most recent theme update (we use Avada), our instagram & facebook feed ‘broke’ – I am having the website owner create a new token for instagram as I believe that is the solution there however we have what appears to be code visible in our Facebook feed that I am unable to resolve.

    I’m not sure if the code matters but it is the following: “”),r.close()),!r)throw Error(“base not supported”);var a=r.createElement(“base”);a.href=n,r.getElementsByTagName(“head”)[0].appendChild(a);var i=r.createElement(“a”);return i.href=t,i.href}finally{e&&e.parentNode.removeChild(e)}}());var l=i(t||””),f=function(){if(!(“defineProperties”in Object))retur…

    I tried recreating a shortcode that would hide the description’s so that to code would not be visible but that did not resolve the issue. We also tried disabling plugins to see if there was a conflict but no luck either. Any other suggestions here? Thank you!!

    Hi @wordpressdl,

    The code coming through the feed is from the root post on FB, apparently coming from the indeed.com link in the post. You can see it (the code) on your FB page/post (long before our plugin gets involved). Our FTS plugin will display your most recent posts. Unfortunately, we do not have a filter, you simply choose how many posts you wish to display, going back from the most recent. Nothing our plugin can do here… aside from the most obvious being deleting the post on FB (and/or possibly replacing it with a more recent, comparable indeed.com post/link), although that is not for us to determine.

    As for the ‘broke’ feed. If you are using the FTS free version, you are using the Instagram Basic API token. Those tokens expire every 2 months (this is designated by IG/FB). So, the Instagram account holder will need to reacquire a new access token every 2 months, then create a new shortcode and replace the old.

    Our FTS Premium will allow you to use the IG Business (Graph) API token, and those tokens do not expire. However, it is required that the IG account be a Business account and linked to a FB Business Page.

    Hope this helps
