    I would like to see more specific instruction for each topic..ie Excerpts…how exactly do you set up automatic excerpts? How do you set them up manually? Step by step for non coders is needed…another one is archiving…my posts have been up since October when I created them…there is no instruction in the Codex for this…do they get automatically archived or do I have to do it manually? How is it done?

    There is no such thing as “archiving”. Posts are posts and they just scroll into oblivion.

    What do you mean by “oblivion”? Copies of my posts will never go away on their own? I can envision years of posts attached to my blog…doesn’t seem efficient…my October posts have been copied to “Archives”…

    At some point I want to delete old posts…like a month’s worth after they’ve been archived…and just keep the current ones…that’s why I have categories…

    What are my options?
