It is not recommended to edit a theme and there is no way to get rid of stuff. Is that easy ?

    Is what easy?

You are right that you should not edit a theme – you should always use a child theme.

Thank you for reading my thread. But there is no way to customize this theme page with a comment : “nothing found, we are sorry we didn’t find anything”. A search window, a small pic on the left widget with no options to take any of these off

What theme are you using? It sounds like you’re talking about the default 404.php or content-none.php files that most good themes have. If it doesn’t you can add those files in your own child theme and do any modifications that you want to.

Moving a Root install to its own directory
I follow the guidelines and now I can’t log in to the admin page any more. Am I doing something wrong ?
