COLLAPSE SUB MENU ON MEGA MENU
-
I am working on this mega menu on my new wine shop and everything looks good except that I can’t collapse the sub-level menus on the mega menu.
You can view the site here: https://winedrop.learnopedia.com.ng/
I don’t like all the sub-level menus to constantly be opened. I want the drop-down to open when you hover over it.
I am using the Max Mega Menu plugin.
How can I achieve this?

Hi Nastin,
Thanks for posting a link. First, you will need to remove the Nav Menu Widgets from the sub menu, and instead add the items directly to the menu structure (as sub menu items of “Shop all wine”), so your menu structure will look something like:
Home
About
Shop All Wines
— By main variety
—- Red
——-Pinot noir
…Then save the menu structure and arrange the sub menu properly using the mega menu builder. Then open the mega menu settings for “By main variety” (or any other parent item) and enable the “Collapse sub menu” option.
Regards,
TomThanks for your response, Tom.
The structure by which I made the mega menu is how my client wants it.
Look at this site for example: https://winedrop.life
That is how we want to make the mega menu look. Let me know if arranging it the way you explain can help us achieve that.
Regards.
Hi Nastin,
It can, yes, please follow the instructions I gave (add the items directly to the menu instead of using menu widgets).
Regards,
TomBy the way, the sub menus will drop down on click (as you see on the sub menu of “Menu Items” on the demo menu on megamenu.com), not on hover and to the right as you have on the site you are trying to copy. If you want to exactly match that behaviour, it is something you would need to custom code or ask a freelancer to help you with.
Regards,
TomOkay, thanks much, Tom
I understand it better now and will work on it.
