First, let’s check if it’s a parent or child theme issue. You can try to temporarily activate the parent theme and see if the color options work as they should.

Thanks. Yeah, I think it’s a parent/child theme issue. I used a plugin to create the child theme, and although it said it was installed correctly, maybe there was a checkbox I didn’t check or uncheck. When activating the other theme, it worked – but then going back to Child theme and it wouldn’t change. I’m going to uninstall and reinstall to see if it works.

Also, you can try to manually create a child theme, that’s not hard.
