    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

How exactly are you doing this? I’m not familiar with Elementor, so I’m not sure what could be causing these problems. Just adding this Shortcode parameter will not influence the TablePress HTML or CSS code, so something else must be going on here.

Can you maybe provide links to screenshots of how and where you are doing what changes, so that I can maybe spot something there?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    hi,

sorry for the trouble i made by dual posting the same subject.

i used elementor to style the table ( round search , colors , padding , table width , columns width … ) . i did not use a shortcode to add the table .. Elementor did it just by drag and drop and selecting the table to be displayed .. using a shortcode with the column filter widget = true will just draw another table without any styling .. if i want to make it clearer i would ask ” is there a way to show the columnfilterwidget by NOT using a short code ? “

    Thank you

    Hi,

unfortunately, I can’t really help with that, as I don’t know how exactly Elementor adds the tables then 🙁 This is not something that was developed by me, so it must be something custom in Elementor. I can therefore only suggest to contact their support team and ask them how Shortcode configuration parameters can be added. (I’m pretty sure that they are using the Shortcode internally somehow, but just don’t display it.)

    Hi Tobias ,

thank you for your reply , i completely understood . i will reshape and restyle the table within tablepress plugin options using css .. i uploaded a photo for you to be familiar with the issue .. i will be very thankful if you can drive me with some css i could use to reshape the column filter and the search field to appear like i did before.

    Hi,

your best chance here would be to copy that CSS styling then. I recommend using the browser’s developer tools to investigate what exactly Elementor adds. Then, copy that CSS and (maybe with small adjustments) add that to the “Custom CSS”.

    Hello Tobias,

Thank you for your reply , i went with what you have recommended .. it was fun and somehow difficult as well .. i managed to restyling the table by pulling the code from the developer tab. thank you very much for this .. if you please one more question . i want the table to be hidden .. it will only show with filter results when the user make any selection from the dropdown menus .. also is it possible to add ” clear filters ” button to reset the filters ? thank you Tobias

    Hi,

good to hear that this helped! 🙂

Unfortunately, I don’t have a solution for hiding the table until a selection in the dropdowns is made. Sorry 🙁
