Hi Jerry,
So sorry for the confusion, but the column width doesn’t change — the full-width refers to banner and background images. Currently there is no way to increase the available content container without significantly editing your theme files.
Melissa, thank you for the reply.
This is really disappointing.
I can’t believe a theme in 2015 would make this such a complicated issue.
It is, at least for me, unacceptable.
I have one suggestion or request from your team:
If MAKE will not allow its users to design wider columns, please adjust your site demo on the product to reflect that restriction. We look at it and we assume it is a given that the feature is available.
Best regards,
Jerry
Melissa, I thought I should ask…
Does Make Plus allow you to adjust the column width?
Thanks
Jerry
Hi Jerry,
Sorry you’re disappointed with Make.
We actually do not use Make as the theme on our main website (we’ve had the same theme up there for quite awhile now). On our Make sales page, we use customer sites to demonstrate Make’s flexibility (because we feel they’re better/more powerful testimonials of the theme’s abilities): https://thethemefoundry.com/wordpress-themes/make/
And you’ll note that none of them contain content widths wider than what’s allowed on the grid.
Does Make Plus allow you to adjust the column width?
This feature is available with Make Plus, but not with the free Make theme.
Melissa.
Thank you for the two replies.
I guess I will need to get the PLUS !
Best regards,
Jerry
