Have you considered adding in support for combining all Google Fonts requests into one? I noticed recently that WP Rocket does something similar, and thought it might make sense to add in that functionality.

Okay I’ll check that out – was a little concerned that it hadn’t been updated in over 2 years and seems to have a lot of issues.

For what it’s worth you can see WP Rocket’s implementation over at https://github.com/wp-media/wp-rocket/blob/master/inc/front/minify.php. It doesn’t seem too complex, but I’m not sure how well it would work with your existing setup.

Would you be interested in a PR for this feature? Wouldn’t mind taking a crack at it if it’s something you’d consider. Thanks!

I was just going to suggest this. The Customizer makes a separate call for each font option selected. Come on now…
