Combine this plugin with PushLive?

    Until the push-to-live feature is added, could this plugin be used together with the PushLive plugin to implement this functionality?

    For example, I could use WP Staging to create the staging site, and then use PushLive to push the changes back to the live site.

    Will it work? Or are they not compatible?

    Hi,

    from reading the description of the pushlive plugin this could be working but i haven’t tested it. Please let me know if you were successful with doing so.

    This plugin assumes that you set up two databases (one for staging and one for your live/production site). So it won’t work for WP staging since this keeps both staging and live data in the same database.

    I don’t mind doing the steps again on the live site, especially if I went back and forth, tried different plugins, etc. It’s sometimes better to only take the stuff that actually workes to the live environment. That said, I usually set up a separate staging site to test different ways because it’s less buggy that way. Pushing the staging site back into the live site bears a huge risk of breaking it. I don’t think I would dare to do so. Just my 2ct.
