combining two database bkups

    can’t think of a better title sorry. i have a good db backup that’s 15 days old. i have a current db backup that’s missing data (categories and tags for sure, some plug-in functions like ‘co-authors plus’ can find find authors, and maybe more). trying to figure out how to best reconstruct the site.

    1) do i simply copy the content in admin from the current site going back 15 days, use the good old db backup and paste the content i copied.
    2) is there a better way?

    3) i have a pretty good files bkup that’s 15 days old. i plan to reinstall a new 3.7.1
    4) anything else?
