Comicpress — dead?

    I’ve been having problems with Comicpress. I cannot upload new images using the Opera browser (but fortunately it works with Firefox), and lately the auto-updating feature has been flaky. There are workarounds for all these problems, but I was hoping that a new version might be coming out to address the bugs.

    Unfortunately, it looks like the plugin is no longer supported. The Comicpress forums are covered in pharmaceutical spam — we’re talking 38 pages of randomly generated ads, with the last ‘real’ post an unanswered question from 11/14/2011.

    Is the Comicpress plugin dead? Are any of the development team still around? Are there any plans to keep supporting or upgrading it at all?

    I believe Easel is the future now. They did update the Comicpress theme this week, though, to my chagrin, as it ganked my layout.

    The ComicPress forums have been cleaned up this last week and a new version of ComicPress is going on the repo soon as WP 3.4 comes out.
