“Coming Soon” Feature

    Hello, my client is a pizza franchise here in the United States. Since it is relatively new, they are pushing out new locations right and left, many of which are “Coming Soon”. They want to have the functionality to be able to tag a location on the map, but have it set as “Coming Soon” with a coming soon map pin. Is there any easy way to code this with the current platform? Would you perhaps be open to working out a custom solution that we could bill our client? In addition to this, they are also requesting a “View All Locations” link, after the address has already be inputted. Thanks!

    Hi,

    I’m not available for custom work, but you can do this by creating a custom meta field ( maybe checkbox in this case ), and then use that to determine if the coming soon text should show up or not.

    If you also want to create a custom coming soon marker, then this article explains how to create a custom marker for categories ( it’s easier create a coming soon category for this ).
