Hi, I’ve activated “Coming Soon” mode under Woo settings > Site Visibility. But I am not getting the option to edit the coming soon page.

Site Editor is not appearing under “Appearance” and the link to edit the page that should be appearing under Woo settings > Site Visibility is not there.

I’m using the free version of Blocky, which is a block based theme. I’ve tried to disable plugins and cleared cache but I’m just not getting the option. Any ideas?

    Hi @zelky,

Howdy! Editing the Coming Soon page depends on your theme and the plugins you have active.

The Site Editor and the “Editor” link under Coming Soon mode are only available when you’re using a block theme. I see you’re using the Blocksy theme, which is a classic theme rather than a block theme.

For classic themes, you have a few alternatives:

    • Use a plugin like Coming Soon plugin to create and customize a “Coming Soon” page from the plugin settings.
    • Create a custom static page, then set it as your homepage via Settings → Reading in your dashboard.

I hope that helps. Let us know if you need anything else.

    Thanks Frank.

My main problem is I thought I was using a block based theme. I think I’ll just use the plugin you suggested.

    Hi @zelky,

Thanks for your reply! I understand now — it’s easy to think Blocksy is a block theme, but it’s actually a classic theme, which is why you don’t see the Site Editor option. If you’d like to learn more about how the WooCommerce Coming Soon page works, we have a guide here: https://woocommerce.com/document/configuring-woocommerce-settings/coming-soon-mode/

As you mentioned, using a dedicated Coming Soon plugin is a great choice for merchants working with classic themes, since it gives more flexibility to design the page to your liking. I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. If you run into any further issues, feel free to open a new topic and we’ll be glad to guide you.

By the way, I noticed you haven’t left a review for WooCommerce yet. If WooCommerce has been helpful for your store, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could share your feedback here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/woocommerce/reviews/#new-post

Thanks again, and wishing you all the best with your site!
