Comma in checkboxes field

I added a custom Checkboxes field that will act as a photo release.

[checkboxes name=”text” values=”By clicking Submit I agree that It Takes a Village may use this uploaded content with or without my name for any lawful purpose including publicity illustration advertising and Web content. I also agree that It Takes a Village may edit crop or caption the photo as needed.” class=”required”]

If I have a comma character in the value text, it creates another check box.

Is there a way to have a comma character in the value text?
