The comment area that you usually find at the bottom of a blog post is not showing up. I have gone through the customization for the single post and it is turned on there. The posts all have comments enabled. I am stumped as to why the comment section is not visible.
I am using the latest version of the theme (free). I have tried turning off all of the plugins to see if something was interfering there (nope) and switching to a different theme (Twenty Nineteen) to see if it was the theme (again, nope).
Any ideas?

Solved my own dilemma. The person who had created this blog had set the comments to automatically close after 28 days. (Settings > Discussion). When I unchecked that option, the comments shows up again. Yay!
