Comment box

In wordpress on bluehost. i am having a problem with my text showing up in the comment box on my post pages.

if you highlight what you type in you can see it. I changed to a white theme and you can see the text is yellow but when I go back to the purple theme the text don’t show up.

any ideas on what’s going on. It’s like the text is color purple like the background.
