I’ve had 6 or 7 people get in touch over the past few months saying that when they go to the comment box on my blog the previous user’s name, email address, and URL is still there. (Obviously more people might be seeing this without getting in touch.)

I’ve tried making the caching more regular, and have updated WP and all plugins, but it’s still happening. Any advice?

That’s got to be caching of some sort.

I’d recommend clearing cache and disabling any local caching and/or optimization plugins you have installed. Then, look to see if your host has any built-in page caching.

From what I can tell, you’re hosting at BlueHost and I happen to know that they install a few caching plugins (I think they’re in the mu-plugins folder) that do some static and basic page caching.

That’s so kind of you, thanks! I’ve disabled the endurance caching (and put the WP caching level down – I’d previously assumed that, the higher it was, the more often it cleared – but I now realise it’s probably the opposite?)

This is what happens when somebody with v little technical know-how tries to host a website! I really appreciate you help, Eric.
