• Hi there, I have enabled the allow comments option in theme customization, individual post settings, and even in settings>discussion. All the settings are recommended ones from the experts.

But still, the comment box is not appearing! It only appears when I am customizing the theme and shows, logged in as [my name] leave a comment. There is no email and website section.

Even while a preview of my post, the comment box does not appear. I understand the difference between the post and the page. I enabled comments only for my posts but it is not appearing.

    So what should I do?

I am using the genesis framework and Aspire Pro theme.

  • Hi @usmhu

Did you try after activating the WordPress default theme (Twenty Twenty)?

Can you please send me a full screenshot of Discussion Settings by going to Settings >> Discussion? 🙂

    Hi @bizanimesh

Thanks for responding. No, I haven’t tried Twenty Twenty, and nor want to. It will result in loss for all of my customizations!

Here are the screenshots of the discussion and the customization. Thanks

    Looking Forward,

    Hi @usmhu

    Your Discussion Settings looks perfect.

If you will only deactivate (not delete) your current theme and install the default WordPress theme, it would not remove your customizations. However, I recommend you to create a backup before doing this process.

You can also create a staging site that would allow you to test without touching your main live site. 🙂

    Hi @bizanimesh

Take my apologies for replying late.

I install the twenty twenty theme and the comment box work fine. It appears as usual as it appears on other sites.

I reactive my aspire pro theme, I lost little bit customizations, but the comment box did not appear.

The results I found: comment box work fine on twenty twenty theme but it does not appear on aspire pro theme.

I look forward to hearing from you.
    Thanks

    Hi @usmhu

Take my apologies for replying late.

No problem at all. We are always here. 🙂

The results I found: comment box work fine on twenty twenty theme but it does not appear on aspire pro theme.

It is clear now that the problem is coming from the theme. One more thing you can do to confirm this is you can deactivate all plugins and check if the problem is still there with the Aspire Pro theme.

In case the problem is gone after deactivating all the plugins then you can activate your plugin one by one to find exactly which plugin is conflicting with the theme and accordingly you can reach to contact plugin author or your theme provider. 🙂
