comment cause 403 Forbidden error
-
Hi,
I found out by performing deactivate all plugins and activate one-by-one that your plugin is causing a “403 Forbidden Access to this resource on the server is denied!” error when I try to submit a comment on my website.
What happens if you deactivate all of your plugins and only have our plugin AIOWPS active. Do you still get the same error message?
Thank you
Hi,
I’ve just deactivated all plugins except All In One and the error persisted.
And for confirmation I deactivated only your plug in and the comment was submited sucessfully, no 403 error.Hope you can help
Thanks again!
GracindaHi, try the following.
Activate AIOWPS plugin and make sure all Firewall rules are disabled. Then carry out a test. If your issue is resolved, then you know that one of the firewall rules is conflicting in your site. If this is the case, start activating one by one the firewall rules and at the same time carryout a test until you come across the culprit feature.
Let me know how you go.
Thank you
Hi!
Following your instructions I finally found out it was “Proxy Comment Posting” rule that caused the 403 error.
What should I do to be able to activate this rule again without causing an error?Thank you so much for your help!
GracindaHi, that is good news. We now know what is causing your issue. Lets try something different. This time, while our plugin is active and Forbid Proxy Comment Posting is also activated, test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Nineteen?
Let me know what happens.
Thank you
Hi!
Following your instructions I’ve test with Twenty Nineteen theme and the problem persisted.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks again!
GracindaHi, do you run any type of caching system in your site or your server? For example: Are you using Cloudflare or something similar?
Thank you
Hi,
I’m using Cloudflare and W3 Total Cache and recently Hummingbird too.
And I’ve just tried deactivate the Hummingbird whith Poxy Comment Posting ticked and the 403 error persisted.Thank you
For testing purposes can you disable the cache plugin then carry out a test. Let me know what happens.
Thank you
Hi
With W3 Total Cache and Hummingbird deactivated and Proxy Comment Posting activated the error persisted.
Thank you!
Hi, there is one more action to take. Go to Tools -> Site Health -> Status in your admin panel. Let me know what it says.
Thank you

GracindaHi, what PHP and MySQL version is running in your server?
Thank you
Hi
PHP is running 7.0.33
MySQL 5.6Thanks
Your PHP version is no longer supported. Please check the following documentation.

You should ask your host to update your PHP version as soon as possible.
Whether this fixes your issue or not it is still important to carry out.
