Thanks for your message.
There are separate notifications for Pingback and Trackbacks in BNFW however, I normally advise disabling pingbacks and trackbacks as I’ve read they have limited benefit these days. If this isn’t an option for you though, let me know and I can try and investigate why this might be happening.

Hi,
Thank you for such a useful plugin.
I’ve configured a notification to post author when some other user write a comment. It works smoothly but it also send a notification when there is a pingbak for the post. Is there any way this can be avoided so I can configure a different notification for pingbacks?
