    I have been getting tones of comment on by blog, but I noticed that many of them are from the same URL but with different emails. Is this normal, or is someone, somewhere flooding my blog with comments that are actually from the same person? My URL is http://www.healtharticlewriter.com, although I have trashed some of them.

    What do the comments say? If they have nothing to do with the article, or they are all something like “graetblog! I always enjoy reading it.” you’re being hit with a load of comment SPAM submitted by an army of automated bots. I’ve sene these bots in action… they can submit 1,000’s of comments a minute, and one place that I saw had 4 or 5o PC’s running the bots 24 hours a day trying to get as many links out there as they could.

    The giveaway for this is that it’s all different email addresses trying to get back-links to the same URL. This is one of those ways that less-then-nice people use to try and get their SEO boosted, so as long as your site shows the links you’re helping them out.

    The best way to stop this is using something like Akismet, and I’ve also heard very good things about Cookies For Comments.
