Comments appear in Pingbacks

    I notice that comments left for a post are shown in Pingbacks at the bottom of the post but not in the Comments. For example at the bottom of the post I see

    Comments 0
    Pingbacks 5 (when I click on Pingbacks I can see the comments made)

    Is there reason for this?
