First off, as a flatlander cyclist, I’m VERY impressed.
Second, it is your theme.
li.comment {
list-style: none;
margin-bottom: 1em;
margin-top: 1em;
}

Thanks for the response and compliment.
I do know how to add custom CSS. In fact the client who brought this to my attention, I fixed it with some CSS. But I’m completely puzzled how a stock install that used to not have this issue suddenly developed it and requires custom CSS. You think something in Divi is causing this? Then wouldn’t all Divi sites have this crop up? Noone else at the Divi support group is seeing this. I do not believe I had custom CSS that caused this, certainly not intentionally. I’m a bit confused how to proceed now.
Thanks so much for your attention.
Well, the CSS is coming from somewhere. Maybe a plugin related to comments or some setting (one of the 372 checkboxes?) of your theme. We do not support Divi here.

Did something just change recently…suddenly all the comments on some of my client websites have numbers on them. They didn’t used to. I’d assumed it was a WP issue but when I posted elsewhere I was told to check with my theme so I’ve also asked there (Divi). Where I posted someone said they’d never seen it until now and they see it on one site and not another both in the same non-Divi theme (Genesis), so I’m not sure if it is theme-related or not. It seems like it’s not. All my stuff is up to date, WP, Divi & plugins. Not many of my clients use comments but I do see that this is not happening in some of the older themed sites. But definitely on some of my Divi sites.
Is this related to the newest WP update? Is there a place to disable this new “feature”? Thanks.
