You need to look in spam section. Do you use akismet?

At the top of the Comments page, below the title, there is a list of Comment statuses. This includes Pending, Approved, Spam and Trash.
If you’re getting Spam comments, they might be being marked as Spam, and not showing up in the main list. If you click Spam, do you see any comments then?
If you go to Settings > Discussion > Default article settings, and uncheck these three checkboxes, this should disable all new comments on your site, too.
That looks about right. Which plugins do you have installed?

Yes, it can receive, however I haven’t got any yet… I mean I haven’t seen any indication anywhere in regards new reviews…
marouwing, go to your post’s list in ACP, select your posts, select “change”, “apply” and then disable comments for them.

I did everything but the numbers of the comments are increased on the dashboard…
I haven’t experienced something like this… I am not sure what’s going on… Grrrrr

Hi Guys,
I have disabled all the commenting option on my site, however when I login to the admin, on the dashboard at the “AT THE GLANCE” box, shows I have got 79 comments. But when I go to the comments menu on the left side, there are none!
Another thing is even more strange: the comments are counting, every day I get more (possibly spams)… But where are they, any idea where to look for?
