Hi there,
Yesterday, I deactivated all the plugins and then activated all but JetPack and Akismet.
Did you try the opposite and deactivate all the plugins but Jetpack and Akismet to see if the comments work? A common issue is that one of your plugins is interfering with Jetpack comments. If Jetpack comments work with all other plugins deactivated, I would activate each plugin one by one to see if you can find the culprit.
If plugins aren’t the issue, have you tried switching out the theme and see if that solves the issue? I would temporarily switch your site to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen and see if your comments go through. If they do, then the theme is the issue.
You can read about troubleshooting comments here:

Please try the above suggestions and let me know if you have any luck.
Thanks!
Hi Darnell,
I did as you stated. I deactivated all plugins except Jetpack and Akismet. Then I activated each one, logged off, and sent a comment, and I found the culprit. The WordPress Zero Spam plugin wasn’t processing the comments. I deactivated it now.
Thanks for your help.

Hello,
I am using the Affinity theme and I’ve now come across an issue with JetPack and comments. Comments are not going through nor are they going into Pending, Spam, or Trash. They are just disappearing. I had to deactivate JetPack in order for the comments to go through.
Yesterday, I deactivated all the plugins and then activated all but JetPack and Akismet. I was able to send comments with these two deactivated. Then I activated them and thought the problem was resolved because I was able to submit comments. Today, I have a new post and the comments are not working.
