I figured out that if I turn off the “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” setting, the JetPack comments works. However, I don’t want people to be able to leave comments unless they are logged in.
I can enter a reply and click the “Post” button. Then the field disappears but no comment is posted.

Do you see the same behavior if you temporarily disable Jetpack Comments?

Also, we’re seeing a connection issue between http://www.literatureandpoetry.com and WordPress.com.
Please deactivate, delete, and re-install the Jetpack plugin. Then, try reconnecting it to WordPress.com.
When that is done, let us know, and we will re-test the site connection for you.

On both blog posts and on docs created using the BP Docs plugin, the Leave A Reply field is visible. I can enter a reply and click the “Post” button. Then the field disappears but no comment is posted.
