Have you tried logging out and seeing if the comment is still being displayed? Or using another browser and visiting the page without logging in?
yup (both actually). it’s visible to the world — go give it a try… weird!
Which pages have these comments on?
actually, now that you mention it; it is slightly different than i thought/described above:
e.g. if you go to this page:
http://wikisneaks.org/2011/daveecat/
it says there are no comments (which is correct).
BUT
look at the “recent comment” widget in the sidebar — do you see my latest comment, “This comment has never been moderated, so it should not show up”.
This comment is still in the moderation queue — why does it show up in recent comments?
You’re right. It shouldn’t. Is the the default recent comments widget? Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
Ah ha. THANKS!
it was that !@#$%^&* theme.
when i activated twenty-ten everything got better (i mean normal).
so i hadn’t noticed but that custom theme apparently has a customized recent posts widget. i can’t figure out why the did that — the generic one works right, and looks fine.
