Comments for Category

So I’m building a sort of strange directory-style theme and I’ve completely confused myself with the hierarchy I’ve chosen.

I had assumed all Categories would have multiple posts from which a comment system could exist. But I just discovered today that I will actually need to be able to make comments to the Category themselves (if need be).

Is this even possible? Can I have a category emulate a page, sort of?

Sorry if this doesn’t make sense…
