Comments were never meant to be implemented on classyfrieds as it was always intended to become a sort of a rolodex system. However, as of V 3.0 we changed our vision and as of V 3.3 you can now allow comments on your classyfrieds listings too. (v 3.3 is uploading to the WP repo as we speak).
See your menu options -> layouts & styles

comments are not showing on my single_layout pages; example here:

i have modified my theme to allow comments on pages but this has not fixed the issue, either; example page with comments here:

am using classyfrieds version 3.2
