wpDiscuz uses default WordPress built-in wp_mail() function. If your WordPress able to send any email then the wpDiscuz notification emails should also be sent. Pease read this support topic: http://gvectors.com/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/comment-subscription-and-notification-dont-work/

I deactivated Akismet, try to subscribe in the three method you explained and the notifications never arrived.
I receive other notifications by email without problems.
I don’t know what else I can try to solve it…

This may be installation issue.
Could you please check your WordPress database tables? We need make sure these three tables exist:
- _wc_comments_subscription
- _wc_phrases
- _wc_users_voted
I’ve checked it in my CPanel / phpMyAdmin:
def wp_wc_comments_subscription BASE TABLE MyISAM 10 Dynamic
def wp_wc_phrases BASE TABLE MyISAM 10 Dynamic
def wp_wc_users_voted BASE TABLE MyISAM 10 Dynamic
Please go to Dashboard > wpDiscuz Settings > Subscriptions Tab and check/enable these two option: http://screencast.com/t/twgdqBdUHk
These will disable subscription confirmation step. It seems this is a confirmation issue.

I’m really sorry but we have no clue what else could be this problem reason. This is definitely some conflict or server configuration issue. Please register in our support forum for deeper support.
The problem suddenly dissapeared. Not it works properly 🙂
I suppose it was some installation issue that was solved by uninstalling and installing again the plugin.
The email notifications that readers are receiving are sent by the blog email address and the commenter name does not appear in the email. Can I configure the plugin or WordPress to include the commenter name in the email notification?
For instance:
The blog email is [email protected]
A reader READER is subscribed to notifications with [email protected]
A commenter COMMENTER_NAME puts a comment in the blog.
READER receives a notification that does not specify the COMMENTER_NAME
An example:
De: “Los cazadividendos” <[email protected]>
Fecha: 26/05/2016 09:25
Asunto: Nueva respuesta
Para: <[email protected]>
Cc:
Nueva respuesta en la discusión en la que estabas interesado

The comments subscription does not work with my blog. I have checked the spam folder an the notifications were not there.
